YCIT organized an exchange program of 19 students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia from January 13 to January 20, 2025. These students and accompanying faculty members came from the School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Marine and Bioengineering, and School of Materials Science and Engineering.
The program focused on a series of courses in artificial intelligence and big data, combined with historical and cultural visits, enhancing students’ professionalism, oral English and cross-cultural communication. The courses, which were both theoretical and practical, provided students with a comprehensive learning experience. During their free time, students also explored the campus and visited the library and laboratories, which immersed themselves in the campus culture. Through interaction with local people, YCIT students became more confident in cross-cultural communication and broadened their international perspective and awareness. At the closing ceremony, student representatives shared their learning, and faculty members summarized the achievements and shortcomings comprehensively. Leaders from UTM presented certificates to the students, recognizing their accomplishments.
This program not only deepened the understanding and cooperation between YCIT and UTM, but also enhanced students’ professional knowledge and practical skills, broadening their international horizons. By participating in this program, students experienced the international academic environment, which created more chances for future collaborations in academic research and student exchange between the two institutions.
