The School of Continuing Education is the institution responsible for both degree and non-degree education at Yancheng Institute of Technology. The Yancheng Open University and Yancheng Social Education Service Guidance Center are affiliated with the school. Currently, the school has 17 staff members, including 8 with senior professional titles.

Leveraging the university's strong faculty resources and comprehensive educational facilities, the school currently offers higher education programs, self-study examination programs, open education, joint postgraduate education (MPA) with Wuhan University of Technology, and various non-degree education programs. The current enrollment across all majors exceeds 5,000 students. Over its 60-plus years of operation, the school has trained more than 100,000 professionals of various types. Graduates and trainees are highly welcomed by employers.

The school provides professional development and training programs for society and various industries. It serves as the "National Building Materials Industry Association Engineer Training Base," "Jiangsu Province Human Resources and Social Security Department Senior Technician Training Base for Working Staff," "Jiangsu Province Intellectual Property Training Base," and a main examination school for Jiangsu Province Higher Education Self-study Examination. In 2021, as one of the four designated training universities by the Provincial Emergency Management Department, the school undertook the training tasks for provincial safety production management officials.

Looking to the future, the School promotes the concept of lifelong learning and maintains a people-oriented approach. It actively engages in both degree and non-degree education, standardizes educational operations, enhances educational quality, continuously deepens educational reform, and strives to cultivate more and better application-oriented talents for local economic construction and social development.
