In June 2010, the School of Automotive Engineering was established. The college has continuously strengthened the cooperation of "government, industry, learning and research", carried out the reform of talent training mode of "industry and education integration", strengthened the construction of discipline and specialty foundation and connotation, and cultivated senior applied engineering and technical talents in the automobile industry.

The college has 52 teachers, including 44 full-time teachers, 6 full-time teachers with senior professional titles and 9 associate senior titles, accounting for 34.09%. There are 23 doctors (including students), 97.73% of whom are teachers with master degree or above. In addition, according to the needs of cultivating application-oriented talents, the college has invited 17 professors from well-known universities and senior engineers from enterprises as part-time professors. At present, the college has 1 provincial "Excellent Teacher", 1 provincial "Qinglan Project", 4 provincial "Six Talent peak", 2 provincial "Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan doctor", 1 provincial "entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan Science and Technology Deputy general manager", 5 of them are respectively employed by South China University of Technology, Jiangsu University, Changzhou University, Anhui University of Science and Technology as co-training master supervisors.

The college has three majors: Vehicle Engineering, Automotive Service Engineering, and Energy and Power Engineering. Vehicle Engineering is a provincial key construction major, and Automobile service Engineering is a university-level key construction major. The college has 1 experimental center and 1 automotive technology research center, with an area of nearly 4100 square meters, total equipment assets of more than 20 million yuan, and 23 professional laboratories.
