Founded in July 2013, the School of Foreign Languages is the test center of English for international talents, the test and training center of The National Foreign Trade Clerk Qualification Examination, and the training unit of oral English (interpretation) examination in Jiangsu Province. Equipped with 12 digital language laboratories, the School undertakes foreign language teaching tasks of the university's public foreign languages, professional foreign languages and Chinese-foreign cooperation programs.

The college consists of English Department, Japanese Department, International Cooperation Foreign Language Department, College English I, College English II and Foreign Language Experiment center. There are 87 full-time faculty members, including 2 professors, 35 associate professors, 42 lecturers and 4 doctors. There are 16 full-time classes for English and Japanese majors, with 526 students enrolled. Among the teachers, 1 has been awarded the "Qinglan Project" of Jiangsu Province for young and middle-aged academic leaders, 24 have been awarded the school-level outstanding teachers, and 7 have been awarded the title of "Most Popular Teacher among Students" of Yancheng Institute of Technology.

In recent years, the college has won many honors, such as The May Day Female model post of Yancheng, the March 8th Red Flag Collective of Yancheng, the first prize of the July 1st Chorus Competition of Yancheng Institute of Technology to celebrate the "School Anniversary" and celebrate the "Shenshuo" Teaching staff chorus Competition, and the 2020 Advanced Collective of Yancheng Institute of Technology.
