The School of Information Engineering, Yancheng Institute of Technology, was established in July 2008. It consists of four departments: Party and Government Office, Teaching and Research Office, Student Work Office and Sub-Youth League Committee. There are six departments (teaching and Research Department, experimental Center) : Software Engineering Department, Network Engineering Department, Electronic information Engineering Department, Basic Computer Teaching and Research Department, Computer and Electronics Professional Experimental Center, Public Basic Experimental Center of the School of Information. There are two university-level scientific research institutes, software Application Technology Institute and Photoelectric Information Technology Institute of Yancheng Institute of Technology. The college has 7 undergraduate programs including Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Information Engineering, and Electronic Science and Technology. Among them, computer science and Technology, electronic information engineering two approved provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points.

At present, there are 77 faculty members in the school, including 5 professors, 25 associate professors, 21 teachers with doctor's degree and 48 teachers with master's degree. 11 are supervisors of graduate students in the university. 1 subject of "333 Project" in Jiangsu Province; 4 young and middle-aged academic leaders and outstanding young backbone teachers of "Qinglan Project" in provincial universities; 1 member of provincial "Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program"; Provincial "six talent peak" high-level talent project funded 4 people.
