The school of Ocean and Bioengineering was formerly the Department of Ocean Engineering, Yancheng Institute of Technology, founded in 1996. In 2004, the Department of Ocean Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering were merged to form the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering. In January 2015, in order to implement the national strategy of "Jiangsu Coastal Development", the School of Marine and Biological Engineering was separated from the former School of Chemical and Biological Engineering and established independently. In 2018, 2019 and 2020, the college won the honorary title of "Advanced Collective" of the university. The excellent teaching and research conditions and excellent faculty of the college provide a guarantee for the high-quality training of talents and the high-level construction of the college.
